National Transfer Student Week
The University of Houston-Downtown is joining universities around the country in celebrating National Transfer Student Week (NTSW), which strives to recognize and bring awareness to the experience and journey of our transfer students. From October 16–20, we are hosting a series of events and opportunities for UHD transfer students to connect with other transfer students, learn about the resources and support services available here, and celebrate life as a Gator. Check out the events listed below for how you can get involved.

NTSW Social Media Challenge
Date/Time: All Week
Complete ALL of the daily challenges and use the coordinating hashtags on Instagram. All who complete ALL of the challenges will be entered into a drawing to win a UHD
SWAG BAG!
NTSW Kickoff
Date/Time: Monday, October 16 - 10:00am - 2:00pm
Visit Gator Success Institute/ Accelerate Transfer Academy Table located in the One
Main Building Mural Area as we kickoff National Transfer Student Week to celebrate
transfer students along with the professionals who support them in their academic
and career journey. Grab a snack & UHD swag and learn about other events during Transfer
Week. There will be an opportunity to take selfie photos with our custom NTSW photo
frame!
GSI Workshop: Stress & Mental Health

The Accelerated Transfer Academy invites transfer students to come and connect with
our success coaches and network with other transfer students. There will be a photo
booth, food, and a chance to win prizes!
Career Field Learning Trip: Connecting with Microsoft

This is an online information session highlighting the programs and processes for
transfer students. Attendees receive an application fee waiver!
