Academic Guidelines for Faculty
- The Office of Testing Services provides limited in-person proctoring services to only Asynchronous courses on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Make-up exams are available to all modalities. Please visit the Make-Up Exam
- ProctorU is an online proctoring service that is an approved alternative option for fully online students. Students are monitored by a live proctor from the beginning of the exam until the end. This alternative is fee-based and provided to all fully online courses requiring a proctored exam. ProctorU will be activated for courses listed on the Professor Preference Form and managed by the Office of Testing Services.
- The Office of Testing Services requires at least a 2–3-day test window for all administered exams. Faculty should set all exams to expire at 11:59 PM on the last day of the test window.
- To request UHD test proctoring, instructors must complete a Professor Preference Form and an Approved Accommodations List .
- In the event of an unexpected closure (ex. inclement weather, power failure, etc.),
dependent on the extent/reason of closure, and guidance of UHD leadership, the Office
of Testing Services will consult with the faculty member on rescheduling options. Faculty will need to contact their students directly once a decision has been made.
- Students enrolled in asynchronous courses must make an appointment for testing at registerblast.com/uhd/examor with ProctorU.com
- Students are to be advised of the proctored exams on the first day or prior to the start of the class via the class syllabus. They must also be informed of the guidelines outlined here, ID requirements, and ProctorU fees. Testing Services will provide blank sheets of scratch paper and #2 pencils. Students will need to provide their own scantrons, bluebooks, calculators, etc
- Personal items including cellular phones and any other electronic devices are not allowed in the test room (ex: watches of any kind, fitness, blue tooth-enabled devices, etc.). Electronic devices will need to be turned off and stored in provided lockers prior to entering the test room

- Completed tests will not be released to any other department personnel unless stated on the Drop Off & Delivery Form. This form can be requested from a Testing Services staff member
- Responds Lockdown Browser is no longer required. The Office of Testing Services offers
