UHD@LSC Kingwood Faculty Information

UHD Kingwood Parking:

Parking is free at UHD Kingwood. Faculty, staff and students may park in the designated student/guest parking areas only.

UHD Kingwood Office

Our office is located in SCC 113.

Office Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm/Friday 8am-5pm.

Classrooms:

UHD Classes may be scheduled in any building on the Kingwood Campus. The classroom assignment will appear in the class notes section of PS. They are not under the room heading.

Example: APA 115 APA – Administration & Performing Arts Building 115 – First floor, Room 15

Computer Access:

UHD faculty, staff and students will need to obtain a username and password to gain access to Classroom/Computer Lab computers located on the LSC Kingwood campus. You must provide your Harris County or Montgomery County library card to the LSC Kingwood Library on campus. In turn, LSC will issue you a permanent access code. If you cannot provide this, you will only be granted a one day guest pass with a valid identification card.

Wi-Fi Access:

UHD Kingwood offers wireless access campus wide that is fast and secure for students, faculty, and staff. Any wireless device that supports wireless standards such as 802.11b, g, n, ac will be able to connect to UHD's secure wireless network. For further instructions visit UHDWIFI

IT Assistance:

For IT at UHD Kingwood, please contact Lone Star IT for issues related to your classroom at 832-813-6600. They are located downstairs in CLA 119 and are available until 7pm.UHD IT related issues should be called into the UHD Help Desk at 713-221-8031 or email Marcelo Saldivia at Saldiviai@uhd.edu

Room Scheduling:

For classroom scheduling, moving, or other issues related to your space please contact Mandy Danley at danleym@uhd.edu or 281-318-4339. You may also complete the Room & Proctoring Request Form.

Faculty Work Area:

A faculty/student work area is available in CLA 200K access via key (see Mandy for access). In the work area there are UHD computers and printers.

Room Notice:

If you're running late or need to cancel class for the day please email Mandy Danley at danleym@uhd.edu, during office hours, for a sign to be put on your classroom door. We also ask that you post notice in Blackboard as well.

Copy Code:

At this time UHD Kingwood does not have access to a Lone Star copier. Documents can be printed in the Faculty Work Area or in CLA 104 beginning at 4pm M-TH.

Access Cards:

To request a classroom Access Card please email Mandy Danley at danleym@uhd.edu

Room Request:

For room request please complete the online Room & Proctoring Request Form or contact Mandy Danley at danleym@uhd.edu. To ensure availability of a room, please allow at least two weeks advance notice prior to the start date.

Food Options:

Abby's at LSC-KW is open Monday-Thursday from 7am-2pm. There are also vending machines available throughout campus.
