Bachelor of Sciences in Geosciences With Environmental Geology
Undergraduate (Bachelors)
On Campus (In-Person)
Downtown Location
The Environmental Geology degree program at the University of Houston-Downtown provides
both a broad-based curriculum in the liberal arts, the Natural Sciences and a set
of courses specific to geology and an environmental focus. This concentration requires
several courses that cover a broad range of environmental-related topics. The degree
program is designed to meet the needs of those interested in graduate studies in geology,
environmental sciences and careers in the environmental industry that require knowledge
of environment-related issues.
Additionally, the environmental geology degree program will prepare students for rewarding
careers through smaller classes, faculty mentoring, modern labs, hands-on experience
and flexible class options. Students are encouraged to participate in an appropriate
field experience or research activity as part of their curriculum.
