Job Summary

The Events Assistant assists in the coordination of events and activities. Responsible for the accuracy of constituent information in the event tracking system.

Duties

  • Uses the event tracking system to maintain event reservations and requests
  • Responds to internal and external requests for information and room availability
  • Creates and maintains event files and reports as requested
  • Under the direction of the manager, coordinates event related logistics including room set-up and décor
  • Maintains departmental inventory as needed
  • Orders office supplies and services
  • Assists events manager at events as assigned.

Marginal Duties

  • May provide event support at nights and on weekends
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of related work experience

  • Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position

Work Location and Physical Demands

  • Works in an office environment

Physical Demands:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements. Position is physically comfortable; individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. Occasional lifting, pushing, climbing, and pulling may be required. Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks
