Job Summary

The Functional Technical Support Analyst is responsible for conceptualizing, developing, implementing, and maintains technologies to support student information systems, and provides support to the team as new developments and initiatives arise in the student information systems.

Duties

  • Manages the functional aspects of a student system for recruits, applicants, and students
  • Consults with users to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements
  • Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data workflow, logistical processes, hardware, and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, and internal and external checks and controls outputs
  • Coordinates the scheduling, testing, and certification of upgrades and patches and other databases utilized with Intuitional Technology
  • Creates tests transaction and runs the test to find errors and confirm programs meet the specifications of users. Consults with users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs. Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs. Tests programs and monitors performance after implementation
  • Serves as functional project leads for implementing other software, as required. Collaborates with various student service departments to understand the business processes and translate those needs into opportunities to promote best practices
  • Develops documentation, training materials, and best practice models
  • Coordinates systems training documentation and training delivery. Provides training and makes recommendations to users to achieve maximum performance from student systems

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience

Work Location and Physical Demands

Primary Work Location:

  • Works in and office environment 6 to 8 hours

Physical Demands:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements. Position is physically comfortable; individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
