Job Summary

The IT Asset Management Assistant maintains equipment inventory using an inventory software database and assists with IT equipment lifecycle management.

Duties

  • Responds to requests and coordinates computer moves and deliveries.
  • Assists with inventory tagging and database maintenance.
  • Operates a truck lift to move computing equipment.
  • Delivers and collects computer equipment and supplies from various campus locations
  • Collaborates with Information Technology property custodian on processing incoming computer equipment and on donation equipment/salvage equipment processes
  • Collaborates with the university property manager to conduct annual bar-coding physical inventory
  • Assists with equipment installation and special events setup
  • Maintains Information Technology storage areas

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Minimum of 30 hours of college course work or one (1) year of technical training in a related field. Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of education.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of six (6) months of related job experience

Work Location and Physical Demands

Primary Work Location:

  • Works in an office environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements individual has discretion in relation to walking, standing etc., and has minimal exposure to physical risks. Occasional lifting, pushing, climbing, and pulling may be required. Must have the ability to move items of up to 25lbs.
