Job Summary

The Specialist, Articulation & Matriculation processes, evaluates, analyzes, and executes transfer credit coursework for new, transfer, and currently enrolled students for admissions and graduation purposes.

Duties

  • Processes applications and transcripts for admissions
  • Evaluates and awards transfer credit coursework for new, transfer, and currently enrolled students
  • Analyzes applicant credentials to ensure data integrity
  • Matriculates student applications within PeopleSoft
  • Evaluates transcripts of applicants for discrepancies; researches and resolves issues as necessary
  • Runs evaluation requests; creates transfer credit equivalencies in the system; enters transfer credits and facilitates uploads between systems

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of related job experience, including experience in articulating course work from transcripts and in PeopleSoft

License/Certification:

  • None required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in spoken Spanish is preferred; community college enrollment experience is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of registration and admission procedures for credit and non
    • credit classes and the related trends, issues, and best practices;
  • Knowledge of community college course work and the transferability of coursework

Skills:

  • Good technical skills, including proficiency in PeopleSoft, TES, and CAPP; strong logical and analytical problem solving skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; good organizational, time management, and project planning skills.

Abilities:

  • Ability to collect, verify, and report data;
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community

Work Location and Physical Demands
