About Student Health Services
The UHD Student Health Services offers non-emergency medical services to UHD students enrolled in the current semester. A UHD identification card is required for all services. The staff includes a Board Certified Physician, nurse practitioner, RN, and medical assistant.
Mission
Student Health Services promotes student success and wellness by providing high quality, accessible, culturally responsive outpatient healthcare.
Confidentiality
The UHD Student Health Services staff cannot share clinical information with anyone, including parents and spouses, without the permission of patients age 18 and older. The exception to this would be if the patient is in impending danger of hurting themselves or others, or incapable of taking care of themselves.
A medical record is created when a patient receives treatment from a medical professional at the UHD Student Health Services. All medical records are the property of UHD Student Health Services. Medical records are kept separate from educational records and remain in custody of UHD Student Health Services at all times. Consistent care is exercised by clinic staff to protect the privacy and confidentiality of patient health information.
