Software Installation Requests
Faculty and Staff Only: should contact the IT Service Desk for software installation requests for their office desktop computer or university-owned laptop. A copy of the software license agreement must accompany any software purchased by the department for the faculty or staff member prior to installation. Installation requests may take up to two weeks if the software has not been certified to be compatible with the standard software applications.
UHD Lab & Electronic Classrooms (Academic Computing Labs, Satellite Labs, and Electronic Classrooms) require at least four weeks. Complete the software installation request form:

Microsoft Office for "Work at Home"
Microsoft Office, Project & Visio
The University of Houston-Downtown has an agreement with Microsoft to provide certain
software to eligible faculty & staff under the "Work at Home" option (which grants
you the right to use one copy of the licensed software on a home PC for work-related
purposes only). Currently, these applications include Microsoft Office, Microsoft
Project and Microsoft Visio. Faculty and staff members are required to abide by the
license agreement. If your employment at UHD ends or the licensed term expires, you
must promptly delete and remove the software acquired under this license agreement.
