Award
  • $4,000 annually ($2,000 each, Fall and Spring semesters)

Eligibility
  • Male and female students are eligible
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA for all college attended
  • Applicant must be a sophomore, junior or senior
  • Must enroll in 12 hours at UHD each semester
  • Must reside in Houston region and be US citizen or legal resident
  • Must demonstrate need by submitting a FAFSA
  • No other awards of higher value may be accepted by applicant
  • Final decision made by UHD Scholarship Committee on recommendation of Delphian Assembly

Requirements

Grants and/or scholarships will be awarded to scholars in undergraduate or graduate degree level. The scholar should be in an energy related field including but not limited to geology, geochemistry, petrology and related sciences or in the business fields of finance or economics related to the energy industry.

  • Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher
  • Energy related field

 

United Negro College Fund Scholarship - Deadline in March

  1. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  2. Students must have unmet need as verified by the university financial aid office
  3. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA)
  4. Students must request that the Student Analysis Report (SAR) be sent to the financial aid office at their college or university
