Visitor Parking & Request for Parking Services

Visitors to the University of Houston-Downtown campus are always welcome. Visitor Garage parking is a flat fee of $10 per day. The entrance into the Visitor Garage must be made off Girard Street, the northwest corner of the campus. The visitor parking lot is located beneath the Welcome Center. Upon entering the visitor parking location, press the button to receive an entry ticket. There are two payment options, an automated pay station (cash or credit card) located to the right of the elevators or payment at the exit gate (credit card only).

Departments or individuals conducting events and bringing visitors or guests on campus are encouraged to contact Parking and Transportation Services at least three days before the scheduled event in order to help coordinate their parking needs (validation tickets, maps, parking spaces, permits, keycodes, etc.).

Visitor parking is intended solely for individuals not associated with UHD. Students, Faculty and Staff members should NOT park in the Visitor Garage unless notified and approved by Parking and Transportation Services. Click for map.

Department Validations

Validation tickets for the Visitor Garage are available to university departments for distribution to their guests at a discounted rate. Complete and submit a SC Voucher at least 48 hours before the scheduled day of your guest's arrival or special event.

Complete a Request for Parking Services Form for validations and to reseve parking spaces in the Visitor Garage for guest parking.

Shuttle Bus Service Request

Rate for campus shuttle bus for local service and for motor coach for long distance or overnight service may be provided by Groome Transportation. Complete the Charter Bus Request Form. The form will be forward to the Groome Transportation Regional Manager, to request a price quote in behalf of your department.  A cancellation fee will apply for trips that are cancelled or request reduced service with less than 24 hour notice.
